Every day, huge amounts of food go unsold, while thousands of people in our communities face the lack of basic food. The Food Bank is here to change that.
To expand our capacity to collect and distribute perishable food — dairy, meat, vegetables, frozen products — we urgently need a refrigerated van. This vehicle is essential for preserving the cold chain and reaching more families in need.
Recovering a larger volume of food from our partners — supermarkets, distributors, and producers.
Maintaining the cold chain so that perishable food remains safe for consumption at all times.
Increasing the number of beneficiaries and reaching even more families facing food insecurity.

In 2026, the Timișoara Food Bank, together with Access Group, aims to bring real and lasting change to the community. We stand alongside all those in need.
For each of them, food means more than a meal — it means care, safety, and dignity.
We live in a society where food waste exists side by side with deep deprivation. Every day, good food is thrown away, while vulnerable people struggle with hunger and the uncertainty of tomorrow. This is where we step in: we collect food that is still within its expiration date but at risk of being wasted, and redirect it to organizations and centers that provide direct support to the most vulnerable members of our community.
Through this initiative, we turn surplus into concrete support and build bridges between those who can give and those who need help. Every donation helps provide warm meals for the people in need.
Change does not happen on its own. It takes shape through involvement, solidarity, and responsibility. With your support, we can make this change visible and ensure it reaches those who need it most.

Every day, people like you turn compassion into action and care into hope for vulnerable families in Timișoara.
Every day we understand that good deeds don't happen by chance. They are built through consistency, through care, and through people who choose not to remain indifferent. Who choose to be the voice of those who, so often, don't have the strength to be heard.
Ioana, a mother of three, knows what this care means. Every time our volunteers cross her threshold with food, a part of the burden of tomorrow becomes a little lighter. Her children go to school with a packed lunch and a little less worry in their hearts.
And for a mother, that means more than food. It means safety. It means hope.
A meal given in time doesn't just nourish a stomach. It nourishes the trust that you are not alone. It creates bonds between people and opens the path toward a better future.
